Out of respect, any name containing “Allah” or “Muhammad (SAW)” will be shortened to A. or M. on plaques, as wells are used for bathing and animals may step over them. Example: Mohammad Sajad Hussain → M. Sajad Hussain.

Why donate a Pakistan Goat Rearing for Women - Livelihood & Nutrition?

Turn charity into a sustainable income. This project equips a flood-affected or ultra-low-income family in Pakistan with productive dairy goats plus the essentials to start rearing, so they can earn from milk sales, rear kids for future income, and put nutritious food on the table every day. Rather than a one-off handout, goat rearing is a resilient, home-based business that survives downturns and creates savings for rent, medicine, and school fees.

What your gift provides

  • Dairy goats (healthy, vaccinated; bred locally for climate resilience)
  • Starter package: feed, deworming/vaccinations, basic shelter materials, water trough, and husbandry training
  • Breeding support & vet check-ins to improve herd health and kid survival
  • Monitoring & guidance so families can scale responsibly (sell surplus kids/milk, keep breeding females)

Why it works
Goats thrive in rural and peri-urban Pakistan, reproduce quickly, and provide daily milk—creating steady cash flow and better child nutrition. As the herd grows, families gain financial stability and independence from aid.

Faith & impact
When given to an eligible poor household, this can be Zakat-applicable (confirm with your scholar). It’s also powerful Sadaqah Jariyah - your reward continues with every litre of milk and every kid born. Backed by our 100% Donation Policy (admin covered via Gift Aid), so every pound funds animals, training, and care.

Keep their reward alive

Many donors give in memory of a loved one. We honour that trust with scheduled checks and repairs, ensuring their name and your Sadaqah continues to serve every day.

"The best charity is giving water to drink"

100% Donations. Always.

Every pound you give funds the project. we don’t take a cut. Our running costs (admin, outreach, fundraising) are covered separately through Gift Aid, not your donation.

I dedicated a water system for my late grandfather. We got photos of the water well, a short video showing people making dua for him. It meant so much.

I never thought about the servicing of a water system. Sadaqah only goes whilst water is flowing and benefiting. I'm happy I chose POL.

We chose this charity because nothing is shaved off the donation. Gift Aid is used for the back office. You don't see that nowadays.

FAQ

Do you take money from my donation?

No. We operate as 100% donations policy charity. Your donations fund your chosen projects entirely.

Our running costs are covered separately through Gift Aid, so if you’re a UK taxpayer, please tick the Gift Aid box at checkout to add 25% at no extra cost. This allows us to cover admin, marketing, staff etc through Gift Aid, not your donation.

Can we use Gift Aid for projects?

Yes, UK taxpayers can add Gift Aid. Gift Aid is a government top-up for the charity’s general running costs (admin, safeguarding, monitoring & evaluation, compliance). It helps us deliver and maintain projects but more importantly allows us to function as a 100% donation charity.

Do you provide aftercare and maintenance?

We aim to support aftercare (training committees, providing basic spares, periodic checks), but long-term sustainability relies on community stewardship. If we do everything indefinitely, local ownership can weaken so we balance support with training and handover.

Can I give as Zakat?

Yes, look for items marked Zakat-eligible. We allocate Zakat to eligible recipients in line with Islamic guidance. If unsure, give as Sadaqah or ask your scholar.
