About the Centre

Purpose of Life has built a vibrant Education Centre in the blessed land of Shaam. We are honoured to partner with Sheikh Almuatasamellah, Imam and custodian of the Cave of the Seven Sleepers mentioned in Surah Al Kahf. The cave is only minutes from the Centre. With his guidance and local support, the Centre welcomes children who would otherwise miss out on school and stability.

Who we serve

Children and families from across Al-Sham (including Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon), and refugee communities that include Yemeni and Iraqi families. Many are displaced or living on fragile incomes.

What your gift provides

• Classroom teaching in Qur’an, Arabic, literacy, and numeracy
  
• Faith and character: tajwid, basic fiqh, stories of the Prophets, manners
  
• Life skills and wellbeing: reading clubs, creative activities, drugs and alcohol awareness for older children
  
• Child friendly spaces: indoor play room and safe corridors
  
• School meals or snacks when funding allows
  
• Books and uniforms for those who cannot afford them
  
• Care for orphans and the most vulnerable with caseworker follow up
  

Facilities you support

Bright classrooms, library corners, prayer space, indoor play area, clean washrooms, secure entry, and a corridor design that keeps children safe. We plan to add more books, teaching aids, and transport as funds allow.

Why this matters

Education restores routine and dignity. Children who learn in safety are less likely to drop out, more likely to thrive, and carry hope back to their families. Parents gain breathing space and the community grows stronger.

Our promise

We operate a 100% Donation Policy for projects. Admin is covered separately through Gift Aid and core support. You receive concise updates and short videos from the Centre whenever it is safe to share.
