Build a Water Well in Loving Memory of *Zubeda Qadir Moghul*
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un
“Indeed, to Allah we belong, and indeed to Him we will return.” (Qur’an 2:156)
This fundraiser is dedicated to the loving memory of Zubeda Qadir Moghul, a remarkable woman whose life was defined by resilience, sacrifice, patience and unwavering love for her family.
She endured more hardship than many could imagine. She experienced the heartbreaking loss of a child, lovingly raised two children with disabilities and spent much of her adult life in complete servitude to her dependent children. Despite these immense trials, she continued with strength, dignity and faith.
In her final year, dementia and a stroke took away so much, until Allah called her back to Him. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing that every soul returns to its Creator.
As the Prophet ﷺ taught us, when a person passes away, their deeds come to an end except for three things:
“When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.”
(Sahih Muslim)
With this in mind, we hope to establish a water well as a form of Sadaqah Jariyah in her name. Every drop of clean water that quenches thirst, supports a family, or benefits a community will, by the permission of Allah, continue to bring reward for her long after her passing.

May Allah accept this charity on her behalf, forgive her sins, overlook her shortcomings, fill her grave with light and grant her the highest place in Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.
Du’a for the deceased
اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهَا وَارْحَمْهَا، وَعَافِهَا وَاعْفُ عَنْهَا، وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهَا، وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهَا، وَاغْسِلْهَا بِالْمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ، وَنَقِّهَا مِنَ الْخَطَايَا كَمَا يُنَقَّى الثَّوْبُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ.
Allahummaghfir laha warhamha, wa ‘afiha wa’fu ‘anha, wa akrim nuzulaha, wa wassi’ mudkhalaha, waghsilha bil-ma’i wath-thalji wal-barad, wa naqqiha minal-khataya kama yunaqqath-thawbul abyadu minad-danas.
“O Allah, forgive her, have mercy upon her, grant her peace and pardon, honour her resting place, make her entrance spacious, wash her with water, snow and ice, and cleanse her of sins as a white garment is cleansed of dirt.”
